Description of work:
A kinetic sculpture consisting
of a wall hung cabinet with motor and light. Two worn toothbrushes clink in the glass as they perform their endless dance. Beside the glass on the shelf, two old combs with missing teeth snuggle,
spoon-fashion suggesting the closeness that endures.

The aging process is marked not just by the loosing of one’s teeth, hair, good vision, and the onset of aches and pains. The endlessly different positions of two toothbrushes in a bathroom glass suggests the ordinary time spent interacting with, living close to, perhaps dancing around, another person over days, weeks, and decades.
